The ABC Murders by Agatha Christie

Completed on: 5th January 2021
A must-read for Mystery Lovers: you'll feel like you are right next to Hercule Poirot following the tracks of the murderer. However, in true Agatha Christie fashion, the plot twist, in the end, will leave you with your jaw dropped when the true identity of the murderer is revealed.

The novel is both exciting and curious; Christie introduces a string of characters in a fast-paced setting across a multitude of locations and allows for readers to get lost in the intricate details of the plot.

I truly enjoyed Christie's inclusion of third-person written chapters which left me questioning the identity of the killer and even the skills of her brilliantly curated detective Poirot.

I read this novel within about four days of starting it because the narrative had me hanging by a thread at the end of each chapter.

The ABC Murders is an intriguing and provocative read from the first page to the last, cleverly written by my favourite crime writer, Agatha Christie.
